Last weekend myself and my mum decided to go for a walk through Dun a Rí forest park with my little cousin. The weather was fabulous for a walk and you know yourself, you have to make the most of the good weather while it’s here! We had great fun between feeding the ducks and throwing stones into the water!
If you’ve never done the walk around the forest park I’d definitely recommend it – there’s lots to see between ponds, statues, wishing wells etc and when the weather is good it’s just beautiful.
A word of advice too – make sure to bring a good pair of boots with you as it can be fairly mucky! (They’re also great to have if you’re planning on going on a proper adventure!). Something to note too – there is a €5 charge when you go in the front entrance to park the car. I think this goes towards the general upkeep of the park which I think is fair enough!
Here’s some snaps that I took on the day…
Have you ever been to Dun a Rí before? If so let me know of any secret spots that you may know of and I’ll explore them the next time that I’m there!
